Steaming Kettle
« on: March 16, 2013, 11:40:19 AM »
I'm just barely even a newbie here but I have noticed that there are a lot of hurting people.
I can relate. This hurt is so deep and it is boiling over needing to be vented.
Many posts I have read the poster has been reprimanded because they didn't vent in the
right words.  It's very difficult when your heart has been torn out to think about etiquette.

To invite them to go elsewhere is like someone calling 911 and being put on hold!

I will go elsewhere because I wouldn't want to upset your perfect little world.  I have enough
of that in my life. I need a place that lets me vent and lets me be me!

Thanks for the short visit. You may remove me now!

I honestly hope you find a Web-forum where they are comfortable with the language you prefer to use. I mean that. Venting often helps at first…on the long road to healing such deep hurts. Wishing you well...

Your assumption that I prefer to use foul language is completely off based.
I had an incident wear a soflty profane word was used, the one meaning crap.
But I was going to tell about what happened and felt that it would not be
accepted in the hieroglyphics form as you warn not to use. Isn't this an adult
site where people are hurting and need help? And what's wrong with abbreviations?
I can understand if it was a blatantly vulgar post but the ones I read that you
eschewed were not. I hop those people found hurt for their pain.

Sorry that you are  so
self-righteous that you cannot help those people who you
shame and shoo off to another site.

You know, I tried that years ago and learned the hard way, and to my surprise, that it was an either or thing. There was no OK and not OK line that could be drawn and I was losing too many members. One of the great things about funding and owning your own forum is selectivity. You have it, too. If I knew where to direct you I would.

Very poetic, however it doesn't address my pain.  When your heart has been broken by your
only child, my DIL and my best friend of 40 years. The betrayal and hurt just doesn't go away
without some help.  My belief system is my refuge. I found no help to be given here if one must be so careful as to be on constant
guard to watch their p's and q's.  I needed to spill my guts.  I'll run to Him and he'll lead me in the right path. It's evident
this wasn't the right one.  I'm still brittle, still raw as I'm sure you can tell by my spewing.
Excuse me for doing it at you all. I'm sure you're a nice bunch of people.  Just too fluffy for me.

All I want to say is that this forum has helped me a great deal in difficult times. Thank you, everybody for keeping it alive.

Personally, I feel that the restrictions that Luise has chosen are a good thing.  When a person is trying to sort out a problem and might be feeling a little vulnerable the last thing some people might need is a reminder of biggotry, cuss words etc. that they might have been facing from the person they are trying to resolve a proble with.  I am not suggesting that motherlylove would be innappropriate, but just suggesting that sometimes if someone is feeling a little fragile, it might not be the best thing.  I wish you the best motherlylove.

We have addressed a lot of pain here, haven't we? Thanks. I lost count a long time ago of how many posts I have forwarded to our Webmaster when deep healing is reported and we all celebrate. He donates his services and the maintenance tech-stuff can be pretty time consuming. And yes, it usually takes each one of us a long time to get there. WWU can't be for everyone, I understand that. I guess we can close this thread…we gave it our best shot. It's hard to be judged and called names but at least it doesn't happen very often. Sending love...
