"Welcome to WiseWomenUnite.com -- When adult children marry and leave home, life can sometimes get more complex instead of simpler.  Being a mother-in-law or daughter-in-law can be tough.  How do we extend love and support to our mothers-in-law, adult children, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, and grandchildren without interfering?  What do we do when there are communication problems?  How can we ask for help when we need it without being a burden?  And how do our family members feel about these issues?  We invite you to join our free forum, read some posts... and when you're ready...share your challenges and wisdom."

I am even more blessed because Luise likes me  :D
Just so you know...I really am good. I had a temporary set back...but it really did help venting.
I am blessed because I recognize that someone elses poor behavior doesn't necessarily mean it has an reflection on me.

Ditto to "all of the above."

I am grateful to wake up each day on this side of the dirt.......

Seriously, (((((Hugs)))))) to each and everyone of you for all the support you have given me here.   I am grateful to Luise for planting a seed named WWU that has given so much to so many.

I am grateful for each and every one of you...my cyber-family! You enrich my days with your wisdom, sharing, caring, honesty, vulnerability and courage. I feel like The Old Woman In The Shoe! At age 85, how many "kids" do I have?  :D

Louise; 4,392 kids.  And part of this kid wants to say to you 'you are my mommy and no body else's  mommy' because you are that special.  Then in the next moment I know the light of all the candles you lit is so much brighter than only one could ever have been...

I'm grateful for you Louise and all this site represents.

Wow! It's lucky all 4,392 don't post! LOL! And, seriously, thank you so much for those kind words.  :)

Hello again everybody, I haven't posted here for a while - things were just a bit too sad even to share with kind ears.

When I saw this thread I thought, what a wonderful community - and Luise still there with words of wisdom and kindness. Great!  :D

I'm lucky because I  have eyes to appreciate the wonders of nature, great and small!

I'm lucky because I am sitting in my peaceful home, enjoying a rare snuggle with my skittish boy-kitty who hopped up on the couch next to me.
I'm lucky because I have good friends, and a wonderful boyfriend who cares about me.
I'm lucky because I have a good job that I enjoy.
I'm lucky because my pantry is full, and I have more than enough of everything I need to be comfortable.
This too shall pass.  All is well.

What a fantastic idea! I finally came back to this site after months of self searching and, although my daughter will still not speak to me or let me see the GK's, found this place to remember that I am truly lucky because I now have a place to live, a job, and am following through on my goals to create that safe haven if the little ones need help.  We are all lucky to have this place to come to and share our hopes, fears and frustrations. I am truly grateful.

I'm lucky because I'm one of the cyber kids, and Kirk has generously shared him Mom with us.

I am thankful because I have been able to come to a stopping point where my DS is concerned and have stopped obsessing constantly about the current state of affairs (which are not going to change) and I have no control over it.  I am learning to let it go which is not easy but I believe I am getting better at it.  Thank you wise ladies.  You rock!  ;)
