Well I got good news yesterday. My YS/DIL that I get along with (military) are expecting again. GS is only 8 months old, so they will be really close in age. My YS pointed out to me that it would be the same age difference as him and his bother...what's that....apple falling not far from the tree thing?
I'm very excited for them but of course worried for her as to all her medical issues last time taking it's toll on the pregnancy. Of course DH said, "Well, I guess we better start turning the office into a GS room, cause you know he's scheduled to go back out on deployment one more time!" Ha ha.....poor DH, he's such a good fellow.
WOW! That's news! Congratulations! Good luck to one and all and I agree that your guy of yours is a Prince! :-)))
He is! They haven't asked but from the timing of this, he would literally be due to be deployed again the month of birth or within a few days after. I would say we will eventually get the request to have her come stay with us again. This time, with a newborn and 1 1/2 year old in tow!
You're amazing! :-)))
Congratulations, Pooh! Wow, better buckle up buttercup, lol.
Pooh, that's wonderful!
Congratultions Grandmaw! :D
Ha Ha! That's MiMi!!! Ain't no Grandmaws around here!
Congratulations on the newest little one to be! :)
Congratulations and Good luck to everyone involved.!!
Congrats Pooh and yes buckle up. Sounds like fun though. Enjoy
Thanks everyone. It is official as of right this moment, she will be coming back here for the birth. YS will be deploying again about 6 weeks before the birth and her Doctor said she could come back here to have it, IF she left as soon as he deployed to travel back. So we will have her for a total of about 3 months this time, along with 1 year old GS! :)
She has asked both me and her Mother to come into the delivery room with her and YS's Sgt. says they will get him on Skype so he can be there in some way.
;D You must be in grandmother heaven! Congratulations! Wishing you above all things a harmonious time with the little ones and the parents.
I am! They will be here to visit in December and DIL and YS have been posting videos for me to see constantly on Facebook. I sure do miss the little booger.
Congratulations! I'm still grandbaby drunk over here myself!
Your DH is fabulous! If I start talking that way, my DH gets a glazed over, distant look in his eyes...ha
What I find especially wonderful is your DIL has invited you in the delivery room. That is very special and not all DIL would offer up that invite....usually reserved for their mom if lucky. Blessings to you and your family, Pooh! Too bad your YS has to be absent for this, but your DIL is fortunate to have this lovely support system.
From on MiMi to another ,Congrats on the new grandchild. Our ODS is deploying again in a few days. This is the 4th time. But it's the only time he's dreaded it and not wanting to go. They had their 1st child last Nov. he is a hands on Daddy and so in love with him.
Thank your son for his sacrifice .
Thank you and same to you. Skype has been wonderful for them when they were separated and it will be again next year.
;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

You are going to have to wait until it's born! Lol. They just found out it's a boy. Not due until April. :)
YAY! A beautiful son for DIL!!!! Pooh, I only hope that your example of love and respect will carry over into your GS lives and they will keep their mom in their hearts and lives as they choose a bride and start a family. Blessings to you and your growing family!!!!
Oh, that's so funny! I date back to 'It's a Boy' being a birth announcement! Woops! :D :D :D
Yeah, I didn't think about it until you commented and then went "Duh!" it looks like I announced his birth!
FL, I hope they both remain close with their Mom. She and YS are doing great as parents! They will be here in 8 days! I can't wait!
How is DIL doing, physically? I know she had a really rough time the first time around.
Health wise, she is doing fine but she has been extremely sick this go around. Looks like she lucked up and got perpetual morning sickness, all day, every day this time. Bless her. Last time she did well up to the last couple of months and then her placenta started giving out early. Turned out fine but they took him a couple of weeks early.
Oh, now I remember. And do I ever remember the 'nausea for 9 months' trip! Beyond awful!
I have been more of a worry wart this time. Last time, she was here with a great high risk Doc every two weeks (due to her brain surgeries) so they caught the issues early. This time, she's having to use on base Docs and not getting to go but once a month. She will be returning here to give birth, as he will be deployed again, and it will be a planned C-section again by the same Doc that did the last one.
Worry wart with good reason. Sending love to one and all...
