Really?  How did he like 'em?

He liked them, but it was more about the occasion.  I made him an arrangement of our wedding flowers and had them delivered to his work the day before the wedding with a note that said, "Can't wait to be your wife tomorrow."  So I can't say it was about the flowers, but more the meaning.

Awww, that is really sweet Pooh :)

I'm not even thinking of sending them to my husband.  it's his brother, he's mad that we won't come to his bday party 3 hours away so I wondered should I just send him flowers lol.  He's very upset about this.

If I may, I would think it would be a little patronizing. Only b/c for some reason, your latest post made me laugh in this gleeful but sinister way.  :D  (I recognize it could be my mood).

If you're going for patronizing...a pacifier might work.

If it's not out of ill-will and you really want to be genuine... is there something you know he'll use?

I did get flowers for my ex. He was in a dance recital when he was 21 for the first time. Since all the little girls got flowers...so did he. It was still more for laughs though.

Luise, I just googled that!  I had NO idea there were plants like that!

Holli, I don't really mean it out of ill will.  I guess, more like tongue in cheek.  He and I get along quite well but he is being a stinker about this.

I did find singing telegrams too :)  Maybe I'll do that instead.  Send them to his work :)

You know his humor better than I do!

LOL, singing telegram = appropriately mortifying in my book.

If a fuss is what he wants, then a fuss is what he'll get.  :)

That's exactly what I was thinking!  If he wants a fuss....ok :)  I can make a fuss!

Skunk cabbage grows wild here in damp areas in the woods. It's wonderful to see in early spring but you can smell it before you get there.

Acutally, Pam, it's pretty nearby you too...so watch out!

My brother used sneak in my room and put it in my pillow case. Ew.

I suppose a girl in a cake would be too expensive? (Just trying to help!)

I would be willing to do that but I can't find girls in cake around here :(  I did find some interesting telegrams....I'm leaning towards the bag lady.

Holli, thats so gross!  Did you get him back?

It took a few tries, but I mixed my dad's broken deodorant with his cottage cheese. He left me alone after that. I still got in trouble though. I did it on school property. They told me poison control was going to come and take me to jail.

You'll believe anything when you're 8!

I think my DH liked them, but because of the spirit of the occasion.  Even though he's a sentimental guy, I don't think he would care for them for a birthday or such.  Just think it's not so much a guy thing as it is a woman thing.

That is funny and genius!  Especially for a kid :)

You one-upped him, no wonder he didn't mess with you again!  :D :D   DD didn't have a DB.  I can hardly wait to see what mischief her 2 DS get in to...  Payback!   ;D ;D

No, none of them drink, smoke (cigars) or any of those kind of grown up generic things you can get someone.

but those guy bouquets are a good idea, I'm bookmarking :)

I vote for a pacifier!  In his 30's and throwing a fit over a birthday party...good grief!

My little db thought it was funny to pinch his sisters.  One day I was doing dishes & sensed him coming up behind me.  Without looking, I pulled the dish rag out of the soapy water & slung it over my shoulder.  He got walloped but good & I never got pinched after that.  Brothers!   :)

Thats funny, Rose.

My younger brother was always a "picker"  He loved just irritating us kids, flicking you, poking your shoulder and running away, repeatedly bumping into you on purpose.  Just always, always picking.  So one time he was doing his repeated bump while we were doing dishes, I was rinsing and he was loading.  I filled up a glass of water and turned to him and poured over his head.  He now tells me he is traumatized from that and needs therapy hah.

Yeah, that's what I thought too.  But hey, give him what he wants ;)  I bet he won't throw a fit next year haha

That's great... I think I'll have to pick up some inexpensive tool cases so I can make one up myself.  The wire ones probably wouldn't be hard to make.

I see a trend--little brothers! Those paybacks...so funny and light, but it felt serious back then!

Two big sisters...five years older and 9 years older who never let me into their club. But they didn't taunt me...they just ignored me. No little brothers or sisters. Just dogs. Very easy to love and very loving!  :)

I bookmarked it too, as my DH is a beer drinker.  Laurie is right, putting together one of those would be easy and very cute for a guy.  When we went on our cruise in November, I had a welcome aboard basket delivered to our room for him.  It was a lunchbox cooler with 6 of his favorite bottles of brewsky, a mug, a hat and cheese and crackers.  He loved that one so I am sure he would like those.

Awwwww, well at least they weren't mean.

I did get everything set up except the character for the singing telegram.  They have so many to choose from!

Everything?

There's more than just the singing telegram?

I'm afraid to ask!

Haha, it's not too much more.  Just a cake the character will deliver too and got the ok from his boss to have it done at work :)  I think he will like it.
