Please know that I am giving WWU my best. That may look impressive sometimes and unacceptable at other times. My goal is not to bury members under rules but to support integrity and continuity. I have recently learned from two members where that could be improved. None of us seem to do well with disappearing posts whether partial or total...so those options, which were default, have been discontinued. I will always consider any specific requests.
When you post, take your time like you would with an email. Laurie taught me to use the "Preview" function. It helps support minor changes before hitting "Send." As in email, some errors get through but the intent is usually clear.
Our Modified Forum Agreement is pretty generic. We work best with each other when we share our values, beliefs and experiences as suggestions and don't use WWU as a debate platform. It seems to me that debate usually is reflected here in repetitious explanation, sometimes becoming heated when frustration surfaces.
The Web-forum medium allows us to know each other without ever actually meeting. We come to love each other more often than not but/and we can also become impatient at times. That's not only human nature...we are also incredibly divergent; coming from many countries and cultures. Each one of us has to manage all of that to the best of her ability.
For a long time, I kept track of the kudos you have so generously offered regarding how this process has manifested in your lives...mostly to send on the Kirk, our volunteer Webmaster, to encourage his tireless technical updating and software tweaking.
I have, like the rest of you, shared my own personal struggles here at times. They do occasionally affect my monitoring. I appreciate being advised when you see something that needs my attention that I may have missed. Thank you for that.
Love you Luise and Thank You and Kirk for giving us a place to vent, scream, laugh, cry and get wonderful advice.
