My grandchildren gave me a card last Christmas (that my dd bought for them to give me)

DH and I just received a thank you card that's supposed to be from our GD thanking us for her birthday gift, DIL wrote DH's and my name on the envelope instead of Grandma and Grandpa, these are the little things that she does, surely her parents' was addressed correctly.

These dil's of us (not all) can be really something. Dont worry....throw away the envelope and keep the card.
The funny thing with the beautiful card I posted was that my daughter bought it so that her nieces (my gc) would give it to me, But I thought it was beautiful...... My daughter is very thoughtful. I would had been very flattered if it came from my son and dil. Anyway.....I share.

Guest1, if you received it in the mail, she may just have wanted to make sure it got there by using your real names instead of "Grandma and Grandpa". When I was helping my son with his cards, the inside would say "Aunt Lucy", but the outside would be addressed "Lucy Smith", because that's just what we do with envelopes and I was trying to teach him how to correctly address things. I did that no matter who it was addressed to, if it was being mailed. If we were handing them to the person directly, or sending the card in a box of gifts, then I'd address it "Aunt Lucy," since it wasn't going through the mail.
That's one way of looking at it and I hope you're right but in the past she has written Grandpa and Grandma--------(last name), we'll give her the benefit of the doubt, there's nothing we can do about it anyway.

I understand what you felt about the envelope being send with your names not Nana and Grandpa... It is only one small thing added to the bunch......that is how I felt it. Not that it was so important. It would have not meant nothing y every other field of the relationship was ok? It comes to mind when you have a lot stuck up.
