Title: Going to Counseling
Post by: sadat46 on November 30, 2009, 08:57:46 AM
Well for the first time ever, I am going to counseling.   I just cannot seem to shake the knot in my stomach about my son's g/f not forgiving me.

I am trying to live my life and let things go for a while.  It is hard.  I am trying but I have moments when I am so depressed.

Hopefully the counseling will help but it is expensive.

Good for you! It's not an easy decision for many of us. I put off going to counseling in connection with my caregiving for over a year. ..probably because I didn't want to identify with that title, I don't know. And it is proving to be a lifesaver! Good luck!

I'm glad to hear your going, it surely won't fix the problem, but it will give you an insight on what you need to do, and help you understand her better.....which is a progression, so stay strong and perceivere...

I agree, at least it's a start....it's a way of coping with the unanswerable.  We need that sometimes, even when we're dealing with someone who is off their rocker.
