Title: Thanks Pooh!
Post by: Orly on November 13, 2010, 07:55:51 AM
Well, Pooh returned my little devil to me like I asked her on the other thread....(for the new ladies, this is the little, left shoulder sitting, devil that whispers terrible suggestions into my ear and is my on-going burden to deal with).... and not only did she return him, she sent him home with a present....SNOW! Hard as I have tried I can't get him to shovel the dang walkway either.  Sigh, it's too early for this stuff.

Thanks Pooh, just remember he does like to visit and I'll remember to send along all his toys that he brought home with him (sans shovel, you'll have to use your own).  LOL!

Snow huh... we had some snow last year, but it's such an oddity in the Houston area.  Never have I witnessed enough snow to make a snowman, or snow angels... I think it would be rather 'cool'  .. I spent the morning skimming leaves out of the swimming pool.. Did you have your first hot cocoa to go with that snow?

The snow last year in Houston was awesome!  I love it a few years ago when it snowed Christmas Eve.

MLW07.. the snow you are referring to, we missed... it snowed literally everywhere but where I was.. they even had standing snow in Galveston.. Had I been aware of it I probably would have gotten into my car and driven to see it.

Years ago, I took my kids to Colorado.. in the pass there was still 'snow' on the ground... My son who was dressed in shorts went running to do what he always had dreamed of doing... which was to throw himself in the snow.. well I didn't know and he didn't either but it was a patch with ice on top.. he got so cut up.. I had no idea that could happen.. then I saw him eating some..dumb Texas kid, he didn't pull the pine needles out first.  Some people (like us) are not meant to venture out of Texas.

Lol.  You are very welcome, although I have to admit, I miss him very much.  Now I feel like I am behaving too much.  If he decides to visit again, tell him he can leave the shovel.  No need to pack it here....we see snow in any decent amount maybe once every ten years.

Although......maybe he will bring some with him this year.....hmmmm
