Had a great Thanksgiving...but...a neighbor called last night to ask me to come see her refurbished chandelier and I tripped over one of my planters by the door in the dark and fell. I landed on the right side of my face in the grass. Unfortunately, the way I feel this morning tells me that it was yet another whiplash-type fall, snapping my head back on impact with my full weight behind it I can tell that I've re-injured my neck and shoulders where I have permanent damage from a whiplash when I was 25. (Dr. is out until Monday.) I have a black eye on the right side and wrecked my glasses. I'm not a pretty sight and hurt all over. Used ice last night and this morning and am going stay in bed for a day or three. Thankful for Audible.com books. It's a great comfort to have the distraction. Love, Princess Grace

Dear Princess Grace aka Luise, how terrible! I'm glad you're taking good care of yourself until you can see the doctor. It's a good thing you've been working out and building up your strength for the past year or so; it could have been so much worse.

That had better be one fabulous chandelier!

(FYI: Some public libraries have books for MP3 players, in case you use up all your Audible points too soon. You might want to check your library's website.)

Hey Ms. Luise,

Hope you are still getting around allright until you see the Doc.  I know you have to be sore and aching.  Hang in there and take it easy.  Sounds like you are like me and my FOO.  Seems like everything always happens on Friday or the weekend or around the holidays and no one's available.  Hope you are feeling soon.

Oh, Luise, I'm so sorry!  Hope you get lots of good rest and recover soon!
This too shall pass.  All is well.

I'm much better today. Just got back from Fred Meyer where they repaired my twisted and partially broken glasses at no cost. Thanks for your caring...I knew you guys would "make it all better." :-)

So sorry to read about your mishap, though very glad to hear you are on the mend. Sending healing thoughts your way - maybe you should make up your other eye to match and tell anyone who says anything you are going 'goth' or that smudgy eyes are in! Take care dear Louise.

Thanks! :) I have had offers to smack me in the good eye so I would look better balanced. What a friends for, right?  :D

It caught up with me the last two nights and sleep has eluded me. I thought I was doing so well...but I'm stiffening up in my neck and shoulders where degenerative disc disease and osteoarthritis reign. Apparently my nose dive rattled some cages. Nik - I have an appointment with my Chiropractor on Wed. and my Primary Physician on Thurs. I have a picture of my eye but when I tried to download it here, it said the file was too large and I don't know how to fix that.

I'm not spending much time on line right now, so I'm only catching up on your fall now.  Hope you can get some help from the doctors soon.

Sending love,
