"Welcome to WiseWomenUnite.com -- When adult children marry and leave home, life can sometimes get more complex instead of simpler.  Being a mother-in-law or daughter-in-law can be tough.  How do we extend love and support to our mothers-in-law, adult children, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, and grandchildren without interfering?  What do we do when there are communication problems?  How can we ask for help when we need it without being a burden?  And how do our family members feel about these issues?  We invite you to join our free forum, read some posts... and when you're ready...share your challenges and wisdom."

I think this website may just have saved my sanity. My story is long and ugly, and I'm not ready to talk about it yet. But I am very grateful I found this site.

Thank you

Welcome - I just moved your post. The Open Me First category is for training purposes. When you get a minute, please go back there and read our three posts that will give a you a sense of who and what we are and what we ask of you.

Good for you for looking for support and finding us. That's what we're for. You don't need to share your story until you're ready (or ever, for that matter.) In the meantime, you have ours to ponder on and to offer you hope. Sending love...

I liked what you said about perspective.  It is everything when working through a heartache.  Thank you for that.  "Sad on Maui" but trying.
