"Welcome to WiseWomenUnite.com -- When adult children marry and leave home, life can sometimes get more complex instead of simpler.  Being a mother-in-law or daughter-in-law can be tough.  How do we extend love and support to our mothers-in-law, adult children, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, and grandchildren without interfering?  What do we do when there are communication problems?  How can we ask for help when we need it without being a burden?  And how do our family members feel about these issues?  We invite you to join our free forum, read some posts... and when you're ready...share your challenges and wisdom."

You mean Chick doesn't know how to stir things up? (I'm enjoying the rest!) :D

Hi there!

I have started some new regimens:  nutritional and skin care.  Reading ALOT.  Buying juicer, organic veggies and also some stuff to make my own vit c + e ferulic serum/lotions.  *wish me luck.
I am trying a new pH level diet.  Lots of stuff to eat that is good for you and yes, it upsets me for I don't see any thing  that is good to actually eat.

I bought carrots, not too bad.  Kale?  Collard greens?  To mix in new juicer.  Ack.  Also greens powder - OMG.  Makes me gag.  Need to get pH strips, everyone is out of them!
And trying to keep up with the dying grass outside and the doggie fuzz all over inside.  I need some retail shopping (for shoes) therapy!!  lol

How's you gals doin?  The weather is gorgeous today!  I might go outside and do some hacking at some overgrown plants in front...or not.  :)

Good to hear from you, HD! Been there done that! Yuck and good luck!!

I went on a pajama hunt yesterday and came home with five new pair. (My middle name is "Moderation.") They were on sale, so that explains everything, right?

Put my tired old PJs in our Thrift Shoppe. The printed pants are sold separately from the solid colored tops. The tops look like Ts with silly saying embroidered on them like "Shhhhhh." Very colorful and fun.(I know, I know...at 82 "fun" can be defined a little differently!  ;D ;D

Now, I'm off to Curves for my workout. I'm sure glad they didn't name it "Bulges."

That's the news from Washington State

I think I will re-name our first post. I called it "Borrowed from Another Website" instead of "How a DIL Goes About...." for a while after it was suggested that I delete it.

It originally brought us a lot of traffic. Any Idea about a new name? I was thinking about "How a DIL Puts Her MIL Away for Good (Without Going To Jail.")

It brought out a ton of visitors.  When DILs started in on poor Prissy, they brought all their guests too.  At one time, Prissy counted 9 guests with the one very mad DIL.

If you went back to the title, it would be okay with Prissy but if your other members don't want it, I'm sure Prissy will get over it. She didn't really do anything wrong; only copied it from a site already online.

Poor Prissy.....I've been having to sedate her...I give her 'Lightening Popsicles' that do the trick. I've had to put her in the attic.  She gets out, she's trouble.  End of story.

Well, I think it's pretty inflammatory. We seem to do best at being supportive in resolving conflict and/or learning to tough it out when there is no apparent resolution.

Controversy for controversy's sake doesn't seem to suit. Do you agree?
