"Welcome to WiseWomenUnite.com -- When adult children marry and leave home, life can sometimes get more complex instead of simpler.  Being a mother-in-law or daughter-in-law can be tough.  How do we extend love and support to our mothers-in-law, adult children, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, and grandchildren without interfering?  What do we do when there are communication problems?  How can we ask for help when we need it without being a burden?  And how do our family members feel about these issues?  We invite you to join our free forum, read some posts... and when you're ready...share your challenges and wisdom."

BRUNCH CASEROLE
1 Pkg Sage Jimmy Dean Sausage, cooked, drained and crumbled
4 1/2 cups cubed day old bread
2 Cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
10 eggs slightly beaten
4 cups milk
1 tsp dry mustard
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp onion powder
pepper to taste
1/2 cup chopped onion (optional)
1/2 cup chopped tomatoes (optional)

Place bread in a well buttered 9 x 13 baking dish.  Sprinkle with cheese.  Combine the next 6 ingredients.  Pour evenly over the bread and cheese.  Sprinkle sausage and optional ingredients over the top.  Cover and chill overnight.  Preheat over to 325 (I usually preheat to 350, but I like sort of a crust).  Bake uncovered for about an hour.  You can tent with foil if the top becomes too brown, but check the middle to see when it's done.  Serves about 6 people.

This is one I make on Christmas morning.  I like it because you can make it the night before and when you wake up, just preheat and throw it in the oven.  It's great all by itself, or with fruit on the side.

I have NOT made it with tomatoes, but have added crumbled bacon.
