Title: Inspired by Dirtyglass Girl; our spiritual selves; who we are
Post by: cremebrulee on April 13, 2010, 05:26:20 AM
I wrote this after reading Dirtyglassgirl's post...she inspired me to think a little deeper...and wanted to share....

A person's opinion is just as much a part of them, as they're life...we need to recognize, the diversity of difference of opinion is healthy in our growth...we are forever students of life, and forever involved in the class room of life...we will make mistakes, and we will survive those mistakes...that is the only way we are going to learn.  Refusal to allow someone else they're opinions/mistakes is wrong...regardless of how you think and feel...we must realize, that some people are further along in they're journey (classroom) of life and it's they're path, they're journey...we are never together on the same plain at the same time, meaning, some are further along, some are farther behind, it is they're specific purpose in this, they're lives...it is they're specific learning curve...

A person's opinion is who they are, which is a very significant human being...doesn't make you right and them wrong, or them wrong and you right, however, a person's opinion is they're emotion, they're passion, and the thing that motivates us to change/grow as human beings is advocating our opinions.  Embracing the opinions of others....We define emotions in this matter as the verbal and nonviolent approach to being recognized in this society, being who we are...which is in each of us, our souls our identities, and a valuable asset to ourselves...

As people express they're emotions on a certain issue, it illustrates how important they think the issue is. Without being committed as a citizen and showing expressions, change in relationships and society will never be completed...and it is so important for each and every soul to complete, his/her journey...

To think otherwise is to stagnate growth, the growth of others, and our own...we must learn to allow and understand, that each and every human being is on a different plain in life...We can't and won't always think alike...and that's ok...some are further ahead then others...emotionally, intellectually, spiritually and mentally...each and every human being in our lives, is on a different plain, and they're life has a significant purpose...and that person's journey, while perhaps it might seem small to anyone else, they're mission in life, is significant in they're growth and learning patterns...they may choose to ignore growth, they may choose to embrace it...however, it is they're journey, they're life...and to interfere would be not only tragic but stagnate our own growth...

I believe strongly that in not understanding this concept, brings so much turmoil, hurt feelings, contradiction and yes, even wars and death to societies all over the world.  It may start out small, in our own personal relationships, but it escalates, because we as a society fail to understand this, therefore, it never changes, we never change, or evolve, as we don't teach our children this...

We take huge insult when we are confronted with a difference of opinion, and it's silly...it not only is silly but it stagnates our own growth...life is so short, and we each have so much to do to progress and to become hurt, disoriented, or angry, b/c someone does not agree with our opinions is so debilitating to our needs as human beings to progress and learn...and we will learn until the day we take our last breath...to think otherwise is to stagnate progression within ourselves...for instance...I don't agree with homosexuality...however, others do...so do I mock them, scorn them, try and tell them they're wrong...no, it's not my place...but I do have a choice...to allow them to be who they are, without judgment...and go forward with my life, in they're company or not...

I have friends that are homosexuals...so what...they understand who I am, as I do them...do we agree on sexual preference?  No!  However, am I going to hate them because of it...no, b/c they are on they're own journey, making they're own choices.  What they do with they're lives is between them and they're God...as long as they don't hurt me...fear is what causes hate, disarray.  Fear is what causes humans to suppress or become violent...refusing to understand the natural order of nature, is debilitating.

You may believe they are wrong, but they believe they're right...so, am I going to huff off in a fit of humiliation, rage, or hurt feelings and vow, to never speak to them again, or associate with them again...no!

I have also known gays, who I would not choose to be friends with, just as straight people...we choose our friends, they don't choose us...and we tend to gravitate to those who think and feel like we do...or...

We also tend to gravitate towards those who we need in our lives to be successful and productive spirits...those who are further along, then we are, those who are spiritually and intellectually mature, ripe with knowledge, and experiences.  We want to be like them, feel like them, know what they know...we are curious and hungry for knowledge...and knowledge thru life experience is just as important as any college degree.  You can take a person right out of Harvard, who graduated with the highest degree, but they are nothing until they have actual hands on experience...life experiences are priceless...coupled with a Harvard degree, are now together, not only promising, but together form change...and our lives are continually changing...it must...life goes on, just as time...never ending...and within all that is the human race...we can't control others, the way they think and feel, however, we can control ourselves...by allowing and looking at a much bigger picture...purpose.
