Good Morning girls
I thought a change might be in order and thought perhaps we all need to be reminded from day to day, what we have in our lives to be thankful for.  In our everyday lives, the stress and disappointments mount...and we loose track thru worry and heartbreaks of all we have to be thankful for....and there are tons of things....

for me, at my age, I'm just grateful I wake up every morning to be gifted another day.....LOL!!!!

seriously, I have many many many things to be thankful for....

What are some of yours?

Among so many other things, I'm thankful for my friends:  My closest girlfriends, family whom I also consider friends, and also my online friends.  It's with their loving support that I am who I am, and have the security of knowing I'm never alone.

I am grateful for the love and support of an exceptional DH.  I am grateful God blessed me with a second chance in life and gave me a partner that is so wonderful.

I am grateful for my parents, his Mother, our friends and health.

And I am very grateful for laughter.

Creme, how true...when faced with tough emotional and other troubles we can forget the good things. Thanks for reminding us to be grateful for the positive things we all have, no matter how small they seem. If we have access to this website we have at least one big thing to be grateful for!

In addition to this site, I'd like to add that I'm grateful for my DH and his steadfast support. My sadness over DS/DIL issues caused him great concern and quite often he felt as if he didn't matter to me. I'm so grateful he let me know in time to get my priorities straight and save my marriage! What a ridiculous turn of events that would have been, to lose a son and a husband over a "cut from the herd" DIL.

I am thankful  for all the happiness I have had in my life.  But I am also thankful for the the painful things in my life because they made me grow and become stronger.  Also because all the difficulties have made me appreciate good things and good times.

Oh God....so many things to be grateful for...   my husband, my kids...my little babies (gc) and my friends with whom I have laughted and cried.

I am thankful for electricity, for living in a country that is relatively safe and peaceful, for my son (who at 16 definitely keeps me on my toes), and for my friends.  I'm also thankful for my job, for the fact that I really don't want for anything and have a lot of luxuries and "wants" as well as all my needs met.
This too shall pass.  All is well.

I hope this thread proves the opposite as well...no matter how difficult life is....there is always something to learn, if only to learn to appreciate happiness, if only for a brief moment....those memories can last for the rest of our lives...

we can't always have it our way...to realize that is to surcum to it and realize peace...
I think?  LOL....

I am grateful my husband still has his health.  I am grateful for the wonderful three-week vacation I just had, that took me back "home" and out of myself and back to a dreamland little dying town where I spent some of the happiest days of my childhood.  I am grateful for the sons I have in my life, and I will TRY to be grateful for the good times I had with my son who now is gone.  I am grateful for all my books, that comfort me in the middle of the night when I cannot sleep.  I am grateful for all the wonderful extended family members, including my two grandmothers, who gave me such a great childhood.

Great topic, Creme, a real upper!

And OF COURSE all the great MIL's on this list, Luise for starting it, all the regulars who hang in there during our darkest days...everyone.

And my garden, my herbs, my column....I could go on and on.

Focusing on what's positive is very healthy!  Creme, you outdid yourself!

I'm grateful for my God, my dh - what a wonderful man!, our children, dil/sil/fsil, gs, extended family, Luise and all you ladies on this forum, my other friends, neighbors, and coworkers.  I'm grateful for my country, for all the conveniences and comforts I take for granted, for my job, my laptop computer, the internet, my loving upbringing, my parents - God bless their souls, my deceased brother who was my hero, the men/women serving our country, my faith community, restaurants of all kinds, nature, animals - especially dogs, clean fresh air, boating, Hot in Cleveland, board games, laughter, smiles, love, hard times that build character and help me appreciate the good times, my health, TV, holidays, how handy my husband is, weekends, summer, sunshine, fall leaves, ocean (which I have rarely seen), bare winter trees, blossoming dogwood trees, crytal looking ice covering bare trees, the excitement Christmas brings, innocence, truthfulness, and waking up every morning.
Sorry I didn't list much - I'm thankful for too much to write.
Hugs, Hope
