News:

"Welcome to WiseWomenUnite.com -- When adult children marry and leave home, life can sometimes get more complex instead of simpler.  Being a mother-in-law or daughter-in-law can be tough.  How do we extend love and support to our mothers-in-law, adult children, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, and grandchildren without interfering?  What do we do when there are communication problems?  How can we ask for help when we need it without being a burden?  And how do our family members feel about these issues?  We invite you to join our free forum, read some posts... and when you're ready...share your challenges and wisdom."

Just wanted to post some reasonably "good news". Whilst my daughter is continuing to be difficult and freeze me out aided and abetted by my ex,  my son rang me last night to say thank you for his presents, and we had a chat which was nice, so I slept reasonably well which was nice. :) :)

That's good news!

Thank you, I am so glad that I joined this site, your wise words and support are very much appreciated.I have made a pact with myself today to start trying to be kind to myself and stop banging my head on the wall. If my daughter wants to forget all those lovely times we shared that is her choice, she didn't have a Mary Poppins childhood, but then again neither did I, but I did the best that I could. I need to start looking after myself as of now.
