Title: Attracted to Nuts
Post by: 2chickiebaby on February 17, 2010, 05:45:22 AM
Okay, my hubby and I had a good, short talk this morning. After just "adoring" this teacher of an exercize class I was taking and knowing full well that she was a little nuts, I went ahead and continued it.

She went off on me yesterday, like a homemade bomb. What started it was that I decided I couldn't afford her class so I told her, after she called me and asked, "where have you been", I told her that right now, I couldn't afford it.

She absolutely went crazy.  She told me that she was a Healer and how dare I quit her class.  She said if my doctor said I shouldn't go to it, well, that Dr. is crazy and that she wanted his name.  She said, "GROW UP" and know that some doctors are worthless and that all I need is her.

my husband told me the brutal truth....I am addicted to oddballs and find ordinary people boring.  I have got to work on that, I really do.  Does anyone else have this problem, cannot believe this but it's true. ^my question mark doesn't work on my laptop^

Oh Chickie!  This is so funny, but strange.  I have the same problem!  My best friend always teases me about being a "creep" magnet (that's not the word she uses but it'll do).  She say I can walk into a crowded room and if there is only one creep in it, he will make a B-line for me!  SHE think's it's funny!  But has helped in my decision not to date, period...

I'm sorry you have this problem!  I hope your exercise teacher get's over herself and apologises to you.  If not, then don't go back.  From one magnet to another...

Same here, coco...wonder how we can do something about that ^question mark^

If there is a nut in the room, it's like a neon sign shining on me. ^nut in the house^ Go get 'em, chickie loves me.  She understands me and others don't. So what if I killed 50 people....chickie thinks I'm unique and it's the others who are strange.

^most of my laptop keys don't work^

Somebody help me.  my  hubby is upset that I didn't tell her to stop it but I am afraid of anger.

I'm sorry Chickie.  I'm the same way and probably wouldn't have been able to say it.  I'm good at marking her phone number and not answering the phone though, but sometimes that doesn't work because they show up at your house (twilight zone music starts here).  Then I would make him answer the door!~  Hopefully someone will have suggestions.  This is a good post Chickie.  I'll be very interested in everyone's take on this...

I'm sorry about your laptop!  I wish I could say I had that problem when I type these out, but mine are just typo's and I have alot of them!  I hope you can have it fixed..

okay, here goes:  A friend who is:-[as strange but I thought, "How unique"

Into the friendship she confided in me that a cat answered her door 2 times. I asked her how in the world a cat could do that.

"I don't know but it did"

I ran home and told my husband.  "honey, a cat answered Susie's door ???

"can you imagine, a cat :'(...poor thing having to see that :'(

my hubby pointed out to me that she was not playing with a full deck. I argued with him but I think he might have been right.   She sure seemed sane, though.

These people walk among us.  Including me who fell far it.

P.S.- I didn't know exercise teachers were "healers."  Maybe physical workout artists (because they understand how to zone in on one part of your body to chizel away at that area), but never thought about the "healer" part.  Am I missing something?

Cat answers door:  Your husband was right.  Not only is she not playing with a full deck, but she's down to one card...

Oh Chickie:  I had an accident with a man who we (may youngest daughter and I) thought was drunk.  He acted like he was going to be violent.  Well, I jumped back into my car and called the police, locking my doors.  He was insistent that he was driving in the lane "I was in," when he side swiped us.  There was a row of parked cars on the drivers side of this lane (my side) and him hitting our car (my daughter's side).  I got a "slow motion" view of the parked cars and she got a slow motion view of him ramming into us.

The police got there and we were locked in, with him standing next to the driver's door and (with his face almost on the glass) staring into the drivers window at us.  The police pulled him back and I told them (from inside my car - yep!  Still locked), that we believed he was drunk because of how he was acting and talking.  The police checked him and came back smirking.  He told me that the man wasn't drunk, but was (his exact phrase...), err, err eccentric!  We all laughed because the police said he was crazy!

Then this man started calling my cell phone and threatening me.  told me to send him a check for a thousand dollars or he wasn't paying his ticket and was taking me to court!  I went to court (sorry even if he's crazy, I'm not that scared), but I was armed with other police reports of harassing phone calls and a report where he yelled at the police officer on that report, saying that if he wanted to drive down my street and park in fron of my house and watch it, it was a free country and they couldn't stop him on public property.  I was sceeeeeeerd!  I thought he was stalking.

All this, when he hit us!

When we were sitting outside the courtroom, the man (and his mother walked up and sat next to us).  I had brought some "strong men" with me for protection because of his threats, etc.  (alot of stuff I'm leaving out, believe it or not).  The man wasn't drunk, and he wasn't crazy.  He was retarded and it was obvious when we saw him that day.  Not to go into detail, but "OBVIOUS."  I felt so sorry for him.

Anyway the judge didn't bat an eyelash.  I was waiting (when I went up to testify) for the judge to see the this man was retarded and had been given a license to drive, and take his license, but he didn't.  I was flabergasted.  There are retarded people driving around us.  If they can pass the driving test, and pay fines, they are free to drive.

This man drove (from the lane next to me) directly into the side of my car, causing over $4,000 damages. he paid a fine and left the courtroom, while I scratched my head - and all bodyguards wondered if this was the guy I was so afraid of!

Our court system, Coco....it's a mess.  If it wasn't so scary, it would be funny. We can never tell what is going to happen!  All that work you did and he went free to do it again!

C/B - It seems to me that if we didn't include "Nuts" in our circle of friends...we might be standing alone. The trick, (and I'm still working on it it) is to be our own advocate if and when they go off on us. When a person acts like that...she has made you a symbol. She no longer sees you or the issue clearly and is off and running on something of her own that is unresolved.

We are all a little nuts and I have often seen, usually long after the fact, that what I was upset about wasn't what I was upset about.

When someone does that...try to draw a line and get that it is no longer about you...and bow out. but don't stop being addicted to "Nuts!" I would hate to have you drop me as a friend!  :o

I admit to being one but these are "way far out in space" people.

I was greatly benefiting from her so I continued..she's very bossy.  One day she said, "you are going to accupuncture!!!!!!!"

I said, "well".........

"No!! You are going!!!" and proceeded to make the appt. for me right there in her studio. The Accupuncturist said to me on the phone.  "Did Mary talk you into this?"

I told her she made the appt. for me.  She said, "I know her!! She is nuts"  Just make the appt. and cancel it later when you get home if you want to.  Just do what she says to do for now"

It's pretty bad when the specialist tells you that.

Well, maybe you can try the phone thing, but make sure your husband is home if she shows up ;D

Chickie,
Send the exercise lady a letter restating that you had dropped her class on such and such date...and that your letter is reaffirming the fact as of the date at the top of the letter.   Keep a copy for your files and then just don't send her demanded payment.  That should cover it.  BTW, did you have a signed contract?  If so, your letter should cover it anyway.

When exercise turns into extortion, it is past time to drop this nut as far from your tree as you can get her.

Orly, good point!  You can mail a letter, and since it's written, dated and signed, she can't say she wasn't notified.  Also, I know this is alot of trouble, but if you are afraid of her anger you can call your charge card company (if that's how you've been paying) and get a new card assigned to your account.  That will change the number.  I had my card stolen and this is what the company did - just reissue with new number.

Then just ignore her.  Hopefully, she will get the message, but the letter should also take care of that!

My dog answers my telephone when I'm not home.... ;D

I tell that to people at work a lot...LOL

Just kidding...

however, in all honesty, the greatest gift is when I come home from work, and my little doggie meets me at the door....
never ever did my husband greet me when I came home like that...LOL

Anna, I haven't learned to copy and paste on here but this is to you and your posting about your husband who is a "nut magnet"

My Brother is too!!! All the nuts on earth come out when he arrives.  One day, because he lives in a rural setting, he was walking into the grocery store.  (he was kind of new to this town)

He looks over and this guy is pointing up at the sky, just pointing and staring.  My brother starts looking up and wouldn't you know it, all the people who were coming into the store did the same thing.

So, my brother finally goes into the store and started to check out.  The sales clerk said, "I noticed you were looking at the sky with Henry"

"Yes, I was....I could not see what he was seeing"

"I know, the clerk said, he NUUUUUUUTS, there's nothing there. He's here ever day. Don't pay no attention to 'em.  Mr. Tom (the Manager)calls his Momma to come get him at night"

(this is how you say Nuts in Southern.....NU UTS, really drawn out word.  Kind of like Dan DAAAA YAAN.  Kind of like that.

I am soooo happy we aren't alone :-[

I would have been trying to find "it" in the sky too!  It really makes you feel stupid when someone tells you stuff like that though!  Your poor brother probably never went back...

Oh yes, Anna!  Do I know what you mean?  I do and yes, my brother is very kind and I think people do know when "you are a target".

I'm trying to work on that but I really would miss the nuts out there.  I hope they would miss me too :(

Tell us when you hear about your friend.
