Barley There - Yes we do have relapses but they become less and less once you realize SHE is not worth your time.  They do not worry about us so we need to stop worrying about them.  Easier said than done...but we will prevail. 

Luise- I again commemnd you for starting this site - your experiences although horrible have given you much knowledge on how to stay sane but it takes work.

At least my son now answers the phone if I call him and does call me back.  No longer does he have THAT TONE (you all know what I mean) and sounds like himself again.  Maybe distance for me right now is the best.

Yes Luise it does and for now that's enough, like you said baby steps.

Barely There - I know what you mean he does not want to be in the same room - you have to get rid of the guilt and start just being yourself.  It's the only way I made it this far.  I was giving the fibe that I was hurt, jealous, scared to my son and he reacted and usually it was anger towards me.   So now I just be myself and don't worry about what he may thinks or try to interpret his thoughts.  I made myself crazy doing that and nothing is solved.  Take one day at a time and before you know it you will feel better.

It is NOT easy it's very hard and you are the only one that can do it.
