The replies from my first post gave me comfort just now. I do not use my computer for up to a week at a time, so my updates, posts and replies will not come quickly. I feel alot of support from this site already.
So, thanks to all who have replied to my first post and to this site for allowing me to grow and change so that I can be healthier and happier. God Bless, cdb

Thanks for checking in and for finding our site helpful. It is so hard to let go and let our adult children stumble around in life, making poor choices and blaming us for the consequences. The answer is to step back and let them. Our expectations included close relationships with them and our grandchildren. Learning to make a life without all of that is a real challenge...to let go of the disappointment and the drama and even the details. We are all with you. Sending love...
