Changing my user name

Hi, when I registered I put in a user name I use quite often and as now if I post it will come up and
I don't feel anonomous , I just feel my family would know it was me if I ever left the computer unattended while connected.  Crazy but it makes me feel anxious.  This probably doesn't make any sense.   Is it
possible to change my user name, thanks so much this sited is a godsend.

 The way others have done it is to close their account and them open a new one with a new user name. Sending love...

Hi Luise, this is a fantastic site, I was concerned if I closed my A/C I wouldn't be able to get back in!!

where do i go to close my A/C?

I thought it was an option on your personal profile but I don't find it there. I'll email my son, Kirk, our webmaster, and ask.

First, though, try rejoining using a new name. OK? If that works, we can just let the other one go inactive.

Hi, I have tried deactivating my A/C and it tells me that at your end it needs to be deactivated.  I have tried going in on a different user name and it won't let me as it says that an A/C with that email address is
already being used. I think you do need to deactivate me I think before I can go back in.
How did you go, did you find oiut any more?

Bless your heart for not giving up! What name do you want to use? I will see if Kirk, my son and webmaster,  can change it for you.

Under profile......modify profile.....account settings....it shows I can change my user name.  I have not tried it so it may not work, but it looks like you can?

Ok, I did just try it and it works.  Profile, modify profile, account settings, under the first thing (user name), change to a new name, then go to the bottom and verify your password (if you don't it gives you a prompt that says you have to) and then bottom right hand corner, save.  It worked!
