You're good in my book, Ruth.  I think saying We are going Dutch treat - will clear the air so our sons will feel free to order what they please.  Of course, when we say we are buying they apparently have had no problem ordering what they please then too.  To make sure no one is left out of the dinner out, I can certainly slip a $20 to the son or two, that need some $$$ with gas.  I like treating but can't always.  We can afford to treat us to a big family dinner out once a trip.  I prefer fixing family meals at home - less expensive, I find it tastier, but not every meal.  Cannot and will not do the eating out that often.  Since I found my way to WWU i have dealt with the idea that if someone doesn't cook for me, I can eat out on my own without expectations, no feelings hurt.  I am not overspending on my trip and not imposing on my sons.  Kinda mutual respect I think.  Thanks for thinking about it some more, always appreciate input when it is meant to help me do right.  sending love...
