Poetry can give comfort
« on: January 08, 2012, 09:06:43 PM »

I opened a recent edition of Acumen, a poetry journal by chance and found...After great struggle by Shanta Acharya Amazing.

Since I last posted here my world has been turned upside down as DS left his family and does not communicate. He is in a very dark and unhappy place and everybody around him who love him is devastated.
I just visited the site today and saw your post Luise on a different thread, where you make the point that we cannot do anything for our children if they don't want to do it for themselves. This has encouraged me to post again and share this. Not doing anything is the hardest thing in this situation. It's like a darkness I will have to go through with the hope that it will disperse and I will be in a position to offer real help when it has. But I know there is no time frame to this. I will have to be patient.

Much love from me to the WWU community.

C - We can't reprint anyone's work here because of copywrite law. Even when it is published on the Web, we can't bring it over. If you have a Link where we can read the poem you refered to, please pass it on to us. Thanks...

As soon as I posted it I realised that there may be a problem. The poem is only available in hard copy, so I'm afraid we have to miss it. I thought with quoting the source of publication it may still be alright, but I do understand. Thanks for your reply and sorry for the mishap.

Chelmsford36, I'm sorry to hear things w/your DS are not good. My thoughts are with you (& him.)
Respect ... is appreciation of the separateness of the other person, of the ways in which he or she is unique.
