Believable Lies....
« on: August 18, 2012, 06:08:52 PM »
Your lies are believable.....
Because my truths are bare to the soul....
Easy prey to hide behind......
Yet even as your lies....
Cause me gut wrenching pain...
They strengthen my truth....
Best have your day here on earth....
For lies do not survive truth.....
No matter how many surround your deathbed...
You will leave this world with only truth in hand......
So happy trails to you.....till we meet again.

Capoly, are these your original writings that you are posting?  I'm asking because if they are, can you please write behind them, By: Capoly or something like that?  We have to be careful due to copywrite laws that we don't post someone else's things in the forum, but can post links to where they can be found.  If it's your original works, then they are fine but if you will put your name (and you can use your name here) behind them, then we will not be asking you about it every time.  ;D

Hi Pooh,  Yes, they are my original writings.  Is there a way to edit what has already been posted so to add my name?  Thanks.

His Words

He sat at the table....
Feet from where...
She was vunerable....
He writes with fretted words...
Describing his anguish...
Of being barely able to eat....

My heart grows harder with each word read....
My soul clenches in anger.....
My mind wants to disbelieve....
Yet his own words.......
Immortalise his being.....
A coward amongst cowards.

Wish I had not read his words.....
Wish I had walked away....
With coward's step....
Leaving his words to destroy an other.

But the cricket was wrong....
When he sang of wishes....
It does make a difference....
As to who you are.....
As to who you will be.

Good work on writing this out.  I find that poetry can make sense of things, after all, there are just 26 letters and
we have to use them to make up words, so it gives chaos a certain structure that makes it easier to relate to.  Sometimes
a small poem can encapsulate an entire lifetime.  Keep writing.

The coward of cowards does not dare put his words to paper.

He prefers a teenage soul.

You see and understand far quicker then I did.  For years I thought it was love, than I thought it was sex, was only after reading his words that I fully understood he wanted me to pay for his 'sins'.  45+ years it took to reach that understanding. Yet there remains within me an expectation that my AC will grasp, and accept, this understanding based solely on what I perceive should be their belief in me.  Oh well...at least I had enough wits about me to make a life outside that life.

An aside.....What puzzles me is this:  Shouldn't a man, who was once a man of the cloth, know the odds are great that God can read?

WOW! Capoly!  You should really publish these.

I can so relate on everything u write:)  My son sent me an 11 page letter, typed, single spaced and your poem and this thread explains it and my reactions perfectly!

Bless you for sharing and giving comfort thru your eloquent words!

Hugs! <3

Thank you for the compliment, Footloose.  Though am sorry your situation lends to an understanding of these poems?...not sure what they are....I just call them clipped sentences so as not to insult true poets/writers. lol

To me, you ARE a poet and gifted writer!
I often enjoyed art and was pretty good at any medium.  I cringed that people would call me an artist as i believed that title was only intended for the highly gifted and my talents left me far below their talent and ability.

Then I realized that anyone who makes art is an artist and the quality is subjective.  One person's trash is another person's art, right?

Well guess what, you ARE an artist, a writer and a poet because you create beauty that never existed w/o your works.

Bless YOU!

And right there may be part of your answer.  If it takes us that amount of time to even understand a situation, why do we expect it to happen overnight with them?  Yes, I'm guilty of it too.  I had been covering and making excuses for my ex for 20+ years, but yet I couldn't understand why my OS wasn't seeing him for who he was?  Well, yeah...it's because I had been covering and making excuses for him for 20+ years!  They are going to have to figure it out, in their own time just as we had to figure it out.

Happy Birthday, dear days of old Albatross...
Hope this day finds you fit...
Ably willing to fly.....
May you soar to the sky...
May you no longer hide....
Behind the hearts of those that love you.

Alas, as with birthdays past....
Is not within you to heed good wishes...
Latched onto your chain...
That encircles their lives....
The weight of your fears...
Keeps you grounded.

You give little thought...
To what others have lost....
But stifle my wrath I must...
For today is your day....
(How is that unlike others?)...
As I fly far, far, away......
Will once again say.....
Happy Birthday, dear days of old Albatross.
