i am hoping maybe we can encourage each other to remember our wisdom here . . .i know when i get into fear (and nothing provokes it like family or fear of family being in harm's way or not getting along with people, worrying about them, etc.) . . .i know i need a reminder when i get into those very dark, despondent places that there is another realm to access . . .to use eckhart tolle's model, when the "painbody" gets activated, then everything else flies out the window and i go into "survival mode" - that does not help me or anyone else, but it happens.
i personally have ptsd and can get triggered quite easily . . .if i had elders to consult with, who could offer a hug and encouragement and tell me to "go get a massage" or "this too shall pass," it would help me.
i am seeking new ways to allow emotional and spiritual healing . . .i have a ton of tools in my toolkit - eft, aromatherapy, massage, a great spiritual counselor, flower essences, etc., BUT sometimes i just cry and cry and need a hug and reassurance (because it is that child or infant that gets triggered and she needs lots of hugs and love) . . .
women have so much wisdom and are so connected to the healing sources of nature.
i know one thing that always helps me is to go outside and rake or fool around in my garden . . .that gets me connected - unfortunately, i can't do that at midnight . . .i have animals that comfort me (i feel bad that i scare them sometimes with my grief or crying) . . .
i just wish we were more connected with each other . . .that we could bake cookies for each other, put on a pot of coffee like they used to do in the "old days" - just "be there" for each other. we can't solve each other's problems, but we can listen and send love.
