Thanks, Everyone. :)

Begonia, when I was showing DS's rant to a friend, I actually said "You know, I should probably be proud of him - I think this is probably the longest thing he's ever written in his entire life!"  So, yes, it -is- funny. :)

Luise,

I have to say thank you.  What really turned the tide for me, months and months ago, was your simple statement that once your kids turned 18 you didn't feel compelled to have them living with you anymore (quite the opposite).  Until I read that, I really didn't know that I could simply DO that!  I couldn't act on it right away, obviously, but it gave me a framework to build everything else on.  It made a -huge- difference in how much power I felt I had over my own life and living arrangements.

Much love,

Helga
This too shall pass.  All is well.

I only wish you had sent the boxes postage due (if that's done!)

Setting healthy boundaries with my DS wass the hardest lesson I ever had to learn.

Elsieshaye you have my utmost respect in the way you are dealing with these attempts to pull you into the negative, unhealthy behavior!!!!

Hugs,
tm

Thanks, TM.  It's relatively easy now when I'm hurt and angry.  I'll definitely be running back here for shoring up once the adrenaline wears off and I start missing him and worrying about him, especially if he tries to contact me.
This too shall pass.  All is well.
