Getting every reply in my email

Ok, I know there was some modifications over the weekend, but this one is throwing me for a loop.  Luise, I used to get notifications in my email if someone sent me a personal message.  But now I am getting an email every time someone posts on a post I commented on?

I have played with the account settings all day and turned things off, but I am still getting them.  Help!  What am I missing?  How can I turn that off?

It's in there, I know it is because I had to find it not long ago. I need to be notified of every new post and there was one category where I had not checked that option.

(Now, I can't find it. Well, rats! It's there!)

I found this and thought unchecking them would do it, but still getting them.

        Turn notification on when you post or reply to a topic.
        When sending notification of a reply to a topic, send the post in the email (but please don't reply to these emails.)

Pooh if you scroll down in the notification area you should see where there are two different areas that you need to address..This is below where you saw the check boxes for notifications.. below that area you'll see, notifications for current topic, and one is current board notifications.. make sure both those areas are blank.. it will then read "You are not currently receiving any notifications from topics." same for the boards., If those areas are clear you should not be receiving any more notices.

I don't recall pressing anything for return emails ??!!  lol

Locate the row above this text box that has buttons (in this order) Home, help, search, profile, my messages, etc.... click on profile.  On the far left drop down to the heading 'modify profile'.. below that you'll see notifications, click and you should be there.   It's obvious that the forum is being tweeked and at times seems to be going backwards.. I'm sure they will have it all situated in a couple of days.

Has everyone gotten this unwanted change? Do I need t alert Kirk? You are right, Laurie...he said last week that he was going to be doing some in-depth, forum software updating over the weekend. Maybe it just hit the people that were posting while he was working? It seems like only three of you were affected and that you have remedied it. Let me know.

I got it, and I can fix it per discussion board, but the e-mails start up again with every post I write.

Same for me.  I have fixed it twice.  I'm sure this posting will start it up again.

Basically, I don't want an e-mail everytime someone responds to a board after I do. I'll get all caught up when I sign on again!

All of a suddent (right around the time we couldn't modify our posts), I started getting messages in my home e-mail about every response posted after something I post on a board.

I followed Laurie's directions: if I hit "unnotify" at the top of that discussion board, I can stop the reponses. But, if I post another reponse on that same board, I start receiving notifications again if I don't go back into the discussion board and click "unnotify".
