Maya Angelou.
.

What is Seasage posting? Why a "."? I'm confused.

I posted Maya Angelou, as my vote for a strong woman.  Then I wanted to delete it because it didn't seem to fit into the conversation.

Yes Seasage that didn't take you long to figure out.... why post things here if you are so afraid of someone seeing what you are writing.

Ok, you have been patient so far with my story....so I will tell you.  Now remember, I know we don't get into religious debates here, so this is purely for informational purposes only.  Sorry to disappoint you Laurie, but nothing as glamorous as you imagined!

This is a link to my Great-Grandfather. Let the fun begin!

Oh you should see people's faces around where I live.  I live in the bible belt, and he is legend around here.  I went on the religious college campus one day last summer to see if they had more information on him, and this lady offered to help me.  When I told her what I was looking for, she said, we have a huge archive on him in the historical department, but you have to be family to see it.  I whispered who I was, and she immediately is looking down at my hands and purse with this look on her face like, "Oh please don't let her have a snake in there!"

Priceless I tell ya!

I told Pooh yesterday that we don't hear enough about strong women. So, I think it fits perfectly.

Again, I missed all this. Pooh, this is really cool stuff. I love history, and I love hearing family stories.

Maya Angelou is one of my faves. She certainly has good stories too.

And now I get all the snake references. I'm always a bit late  ???

Thanks Pen.  I also love Maya Angelou.  Not only the content of her poetry, but her voice is so calming.  I will tell you the rest of my Mom's story soon.
