Once a mother.. always a mother...
« on: December 20, 2009, 06:51:03 PM »
I'm starting to work on Valentine's things ... I never expect anything from my kids now for it, but it also relates to Mother's day (dread dread dread) ... I am working with a heart design I made mostly for grandparents, but then this design came to mind.

Nobody will really buy these or wear them (I don't even have the nerve to walk around wearing this shirt!)  but I felt better making and saying this... feels true for people who post here.  Just for you to read, hope they cheer you all up!

Absolutely! I would wear a shirt that said, " Once a mother, always a mother." As part of the grieving process, I made a cement stones for my son's angel garden. I made one for each year he lived. Each stone has something written. On one of the stones I wrote A mother's love never dies! Maybe I need to make another stone, just to include: Once a mother, always a mother.

Thank you for sharing your creation with us.

For Invisible...

When a Child is gone
Departed from the Earth
They'll pray for their Family
For all of their worth.

Years ago, when my first husband past away...his mother and sister created an angel garden in his memory...20 years later...the angel garden is still a great comfort to all who knew him.

Redrose,

Thank you for sharing....
When my GD is in the yard I see her walking around the stone reading each one. She can witness the love for her father reflected within the garden.

I love the garden stone idea. What a great tribute to the love you have for your son, and how nice for your granddaughter. You are truly a special, loving mom.
Respect ... is appreciation of the separateness of the other person, of the ways in which he or she is unique.
