Very good news.  See, we always drop whatever plans we have for our son, dil, gc.  Good you did not have any other choice....because they will know they you are not just sitting there waiting for their call to drop everything and run to them.  They will value you more.  Luise is absolutely right about people valuing more people who value themselves.  Congrats

morning! ok, so halloween went ok, ds and dil came by with gc. only stayed a few mins, but they came. i had quite a few treats for gc, and gc was darling in the halloween outfit!  ;D
dil was cordial, though not talkative. ds was in "robot mode". ugh! i hate it when hes in that mode.  its like hes 2 different people. when shes not around, hes relaxed, and fun, and silly. like we all are. when shes there, hes uptight, and in "robot mode".  we just enjoyed gc up until she was ready to leave.  so sad,  gc just cried and cried when she tried to take him from me.   :'(
Laurie, i love it!! no im not pinning away, sitting here for them to call. lol  ;D  but i did drop everything and cancel my plans before, to fit their needs. but not now. i just cant do that any more.
but the good news is they came over last nite. i didn't ask them to come over, they just showed up.  howcome they get to just show up? hmmmmm, just a thought.
i got to see my gc, and ds. that's what counts, and it was short and sweet. that's it.
B-A-B-Y  S-T-E-P-S !!!!    ok, on to the next holiday, and chapter in my life.

Small victory, Erma but a victory indeed!!  I really hate the robot act.  Oh me!  Be passive, be aggressive but please, don't be a robot!.   :(

Erma, I'm glad you got to see your GC and that you are moving on. Yay you!

I agree, I'm not a fan of the robot, or the pod person for that matter (Invasion of the Body Snatchers.)
